ENGI TECHNOLOGIES is an Italian company with experience in the design and construction of machines and lines for cereal cakes.
In 2010, it completed the construction of a new machine for cereal cakes, enhancing the now consolidated mechanics with new electronics, and boosting the entire functionality of the machine with a PLC.
The press has been designed for the production of cereal cakes from corne, rice, spelt, wheat, buckwheat, blends of cereals and pallets.
Product processing aims to obtain rice cakes that have been pressed and expanded, and includes the firing phase (at about 250°C) and subsequent expansion stages.
Once their temperature has returned to normal, the cakes are crisp and full of the natural flavour of the original cereal.
The cereal is transferred from the hopper to the mould through a pneumatically operated horizontal feeding system. The dosage is volumetric.
The mould closes up grinding the grains, which are then cooked for a short time, during which the cereal expand and form the cakes. The rice cakes are expelled and discharged onto a conveyor, and channeled to the packaging department.
